Keeping you safe, while keeping it fun....

Ensuring you feel safe, comfortable and confident in manoeuvring has always a key priority to me. The new changes, some might say challenges which COVID 19 brings means that additional efforts and steps will be taken to  before and after class, for your health and well being.

Before coming to your first class, you must fill in a COVID Questionnaire. Please note that Track and Trace will be in place - attendance will be kept and there is also the NHS QR code available to scan.

Finding the flow

Please take time to read and familiarise with the attached infographic detailing the flow of the class (please note this is for illustration purposes only and relates specifically to Hyde, I will email you the correct infographic for the class you are attending) . I have also done a very quick walk through video to give you an idea of what to expect (at Hyde).

  • All measures will be taken to ensure your safety. The room will be zoned for social distancing, with markers indicating where your head cushion should be placed. All mats will then be laid out by all clients to ensure 2m social distance from the person beside you (2m head to head distance). More time has been allowed between sessions for hall clearing and cleaning, there will also be different entry and exit points. Hand sanitisation will be provided  and temperature checked upon entry. All clients are requested to wear a mask until your mat is placed down (but not whilst exercising), and when moving around or leaving the hall. As above, the floor and surface points  will all be cleaned with an antibacterial cleaner before and after sessions.

  • Sadly, tactile cueing won't be possible at this present time.

  • It goes without saying that if you (or anyone in your household is) unwell, or feel unwell at any point throughout the class, with any of the COVID 19 symptoms:

                  high temperature,
                  a new, continuous cough,
a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste

then please DO NOT attend class/leave the class immediately.

  • As per the announcement on social gatherings, we have had confirmation  by Body Control Pilates that as Pilates is an organised sport, booked in in advance and conducted in a COVID safety environment it is exempt from the social gathering restriction. As with all things COVID 19 related, I will be continually reviewing and updating as necessary and will let you know if anything should change.

  • If another Lockdown happens, I will refund any outstanding sessions . I will also be able to offer Zoom sessions if that appeals.

what to bring...

  • A mask to move about the building

  • Please bring your own mat and head cushions (1 inch and 3 inch). If you have tight hamstrings and often sit on a block, i would advise you to purchase a  Yoga block instead of the 3mm cushion as you can use  this block for both purposes - just make sure it is this 5cm in high and not the brick like blocks (7.6cm) as they will be too high for your neck and too narrow for your sit bones.

  • I hope to be able to continue to rotate equipment on various weeks, bands/ rollers/poles etc - these will be thoroughly cleaned before/after sessions.
